I have a theory that you can never truly recover from mental illness. It’s like your state of mind has just been ground down to a point where you can no longer cope. While you may not be able to actually ‘get better’ in the traditional sense, you can develop and work on new coping mechanisms. I need new coping mechanisms.

Fortunately I had a call recently that I may soon be able to start Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, for which I’ve been on the waiting list.
